Live Here, Work Here: The Effingham Employment Expo is set for Tuesday in Rincon

The Effingham County Industrial Development Authority and WorkSource Coastal want to help you find your next job at over a dozen Effingham County-based industrial employers including Sewon America, creating 740 new jobs in Rincon and investing more than $300 million in a new manufacturing facility. Sewon will produce electric vehicle body parts for OEMs, including Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America. Other participating employers include: AeroDynamic Aviation, Americold, DHL Logistics, Edwards Interiors Aerospace, Georgia Pacific, Halstead International, Lineage Logistics, Perdue, Podium Logistics, Quantix and Shaw Industries.” A vast majority of our residents currently commute every day for work. .” said Jessica Hood, Vice President of the Effingham County Industrial Development Authority. “We want our residents to know about the opportunities that are available in their backyard. And these opportunities, again, vary from entry level to supervisor. It’s really an event for any type of person at any stage of their career to come see what we have going on here in Effingham County.” Industrial employers will be hiring for a variety of positions during the expo and interviews will be available.You are asked to bring multiple copies of your resume and professional dress is encouraged, but Flacos Tacos and Jenni’s Treats on the Street will be on site and the first 50 attendees to complete a survey will receive a $15 food voucher for food trucks.

The two will join forces for the Effingham Job Fair on Tuesday, June 18. The exhibition is set for 4-7pm at Rincon Elementary School.

The exhibit features over a dozen industrial employers based in Effingham County, including Sewon America.
